May, 21 the regional art centre held the final concert of “Vyasyoly Karagod”, the X regional art festival of children’s homes pupils, boarding schools pupils, rehabilitation and correction centres.

May, 20 Mogilev held the session of the presidium of Mogilev Regional Delegates’ Council. They discussed the question of Mogilev’s housing construction quality. The example was a block of flats in “Sputnik” housing area, Mogilev. The delegates also studied the infrastructure of this area and visited kindergarten №115 “Teremok”. Then the delegates visited JSC “Mogilevsky DSK” to get acquainted with its modernization stages, technologies and new products of the enterprise.

Belarus Development Bank opened its second regional branch. It houses in the building of Mogilev Region Main Department of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

Spring conscription has started in Mogilev region. About 1200 young men have been called up for statutory military service of the Republic of Belarus. Solemn administration of oath will take place on June 15.

II International forum “Traditional culture as a strategic resource of steady development of society” started in Mogilev on May 16. The event has attracted scientists representing Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldova, Slovak Republic, the Netherlands, Estonia, Turkey, and Bulgaria.

Mogilev women in two maternity hospitals who delivered babies on May 9 got presents from “Belaya Rus”. The action “Belaya Rus with love for children” was initiated by the city organisation of “Belaya Rus”. On the 68th anniversary of the Great Victory four babies were born in Mogilev hospital №1, and eight babies (5 girls and 3 boys) – in Mogilev city emergency hospital.

More than a thousand people partook in the theatrical festive parade on May 9 in Mogilev. The procession started in Lenin square. The veterans, representatives of the regional and city authorities, public enterprises, youth and military organizations, sportsmen walked from along Pervomaiskaya Street to Sovetskaya Square. Here the participants held the meeting, laid wreaths and flowers to the “Eternal Flame” memorial.

May, 7 Mogilev held the IV Festival of Song and Formation “Dneprovsky Bastion”. The event was dedicated to the 68th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Students of Mogilev regional cadet school, secondary schools Parade drills №№12 and 21 of Mogilev, Mogilev regional lyceum №3, gymnasium №1 of Orsha showed their parade drills.
