Mogilev Maslenikov Museum opens the exhibition of Ukrainian sculptor Alexei Leonov. The name of the exhibition is “By the Call of the Heart”. The information is provided by Svetlana Strogina, a deputy director of the museum.

Bobruisk Arts Museum named after G.G. Poplavsky opened the exhibition “Icons from Russia. The Light of Faith”. Organizers of the exhibition are Bobruisk Eparchy and the museum. The exposition presents the icons made from bark, in tempera technique, beadwork, paper mosaic.

March, 6 Mogilev regional methodological centre of folk arts, culture and educative work opens the decorative and applied arts exhibition “Spring. Love. Inspiration”. The exhibition is dedicated to spring and the Women’s International Day. The third specialized building exhibition “House. Summer cottage. Design”, that will be held in Mogilev on 20-22 February, starts construction season in the region. The exhibition is an important event promoting the spread of information about the major achievements in the construction field, and introducing up-to-date construction materials and technologies.

It is for the fifth time "Krasny pischevik" (Bobruisk) will take part in the international confectionery exhibition that will be held in Germany on January 27-30. The factory’s stand will present 30 types of marshmallow, dragée, toffee, fruit jelly and halva, the head of marketing department Anna Gatsko told. "Krasny pischevik" will also present a new product - coloured fruit jelly candies and candy “rabbits” from pectin and gelatin.

Mogilev citizens will have an opportunity to see a holographic image of the Cross of Saint Euphrosyne at the Maslenikov Museum’s exposition. The hologram is designed by Leonid Tanin, a Belarusian scientist-physicist.

“100 ideas for Belarus” mobile exhibition is about to set out, the press-service of the Belarusian Youth Republican Union informed. Mogilev is the first city to host the exhibition where the best projects of the region’s young people will be presented on December 4. MAZ truck decorated with respective symbols will be used for filling applications, negotiating with investors, holding presentations, etc.

The Maslenikov Museum holds the exhibition “Images of Flying Thoughts” by a young photographer Yury Burmistrov. The exhibition includes 30 works in the “Nu” style.

The seventh auto rally starts on July 20 in Minsk; this year it is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812 and the 68th anniversary of Belarus liberation from German-fascist invaders.

Kuleshov Mogilev State University hosts an exhibition “The city where people live…”. It is open till May 23. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. visitors are welcome to see the exhibition-installation of T-shirts made by HIV-positive people. The exposition depicts a city’s street – facades of buildings made from perspex, downpipes, cords, etc. The T-shirts put into windows are the images of people living in houses. The exhibition also presents diary notes, letters, poems by HIV-positive people.

The exhibition hall of the Bobruisk Art Museum named after G.G. Poplavsky hosted the Jurassic period park. It presents dinosaurs – tyrannosaurs, pterosaurs, spinosaurus that inhabited our Earth over 150 mln years ago.

“House. Datcha. Design-2012” specialized building exhibition will be held at Ice Palace in Mogilev on February 21-23. It is organized by Mogilev branch of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, construction and architecture committee of Mogilev region executive committee.

“Novyi gorod” bard-club together with Mogilev regional puppet theatre is preparing a new concert programme dedicated to Saint Valentine’s Day. Its title is “Ne tolko pro ljubov” (“Not only love songs”).

On January, 29 International confectionery exhibition ISM – 2012 opens in Cologne. JSC «Krasny Pishchevik» (Bobruisk) will represent Belarus with a display stand with its branding and slogans. The Belarusians will try to win customers with 30 items of confectionery, including marshmallow, fruit jelly, and “Iriso” candies.

Mogilev Regional Maslenikov Museum arranged a personal exhibition of Boris Pervuninskih, a member of the Belarusian Artists’ Union.

Boris Pervuninskih is a painter and graphic artist. Last year he celebrated his 70th anniversary. Boris Pervuninskih has created a number of still lives, landscapes. His works are kept at the national Art Museum of Belarus, the funds of the Belarusian Artists’ Union, the Minsk Modern Arts Museum, the exhibition union “Central Artist’s House” in Moscow, and numerous museums of Mogilev region.

An exhibition of the embroiderer Flora Sadovskaya opens in Mogilev, - a correspondent of the site was told at the culture department of Mogilev region executive committee. “Flora Sadovskaya’s works are very diverse – landscapes, portraits, still lives. The woman has been fond of embroidering since her youth”, - the source added. The craftswoman’s relatives support her: the granddaughter often suggests themes, and the daughter helps in working out pictures’ designs.
