Shklov district

17 houses, 18 outhouses and 4 country cottages have been underflooded in Shklov because of the increased water level in the Dnieper and the Serebryanka rivers, Mogilev region department of the MES informed.

“Kupalye” Festival in Alexandria village (“Alexandria gathers friends”) takes place on July, 6-7. The festival has got the status of a national brand. That is the opinion of Vladimir Ulakhovich, the deputy chairman of the Belarusian chamber of commerce and industry.

July, 6-7 Alexandriya (Shklov district) will hold Kupalye festive occasion. The information is provided by the press-service of Belarusian government. Anatoly Tozik, the deputy Prime-minister, held the meeting of the organization committee to prepare and hold the festival “Alexandriya gathers friends”. The meeting discussed the organization arrangements and plan of the event.

Shklov district has the ratio of job vacancies and temporarily unemployed persons as 4:1. The district faces the problem of professional staff shortage in villages where agriculture production is to undergo qualitative changes.

On August, 22 Mogilev hosts unofficial match between women’s national football teams of Belarus and Latvia (“Spartak” stadium). The match starts at 6 p.m. Two days later the same teams play at “Spartak” stadium in Shklov; the match starts at 1 p.m.

More than 3 thous. tonnes of grain was harvested by harvester combine team of Victor Milto from JSC “Alexandriiskoe” of Shklov district. Denis Latypov, driver from “Alexandriiskoe”, transported more than 4 thousand tonnes of grain.

The fourth building of “Rodnick” health camp opens on July 23 at Zakhody village of Shklov district, a correspondent of the site was told by Natalia Kolomiets, head of educational and methodical office of children’s health improvement at education department of Mogilev region executive committee.

Today the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is making a working tour to Mogilev region, the presidential press service informs. The head of the state will unveil the bridge over the Dnieper river, having been reconstructed according to the President’s commission; he will also meet representatives of road-building organizations who partook in reconstruction, and people of the town.

The results of the republican contest of settlements’ sanitary state and improvement were summed up. The winners were chosen according to five categories.

Maternity department of Shklov district hospital opens after a 4-month reconstruction that cost Br1 bln. Up-to-date medical equipment was installed at the department, and both future mothers and newborns will enjoy maximum comfort. There are also special care wards for low-birth-weight babies. Every year about 300 babies are given birth to in maternity department of Shklov district hospital.

December, 23 Shklov state special boarding school for children with visual disorders held the “New Year Adventures” performance. The governor of Mogilev region Petr Rudnik took part in the event. In his congratulation words Petr Rudnik said that miracles happen. “Be magicians and your dreams will come true.”

Shklov opened a first-aid station that held major reconstruction. The repairs took 18 months and Br800 mln. This reconstruction is only a beginning of the global modernization of Shklov Central District Hospital.

Mstislavl and Shklov districts have the lowest unemployment rate in December 2011; it made up 0.4% of economically active population, while the average unemployment rate registered in the region was 0.7%. The information was provided by Vladimir Shepelevich, deputy head of labour, employment and social protection committee of Mogilev region executive committee. Other districts of Mogilev region also have had unemployment rates lower than prognosed indexes.

During his business trip to Mogilev region president Alexander Lukashenko will visit paper mill “Spartak” in Shklov, - the president’s press-service informed. “Spartak” has been implementing an investment project for retooling and reconstruction of the plant.

Shklov joins the UNICEF’s global initiative “Child-friendly city”, Julia Novichenok, a coordinator of information programs of UNICEF, informs. Borisov, Dobrush, Pinsk, Pruzhany, Svetlogorsk, Grodno, Brest, Gomel, Novopolotsk, Lida are the participants of the project.

The Physical Complex “Alexandria” (Shklov district) held the IV International Mini Football Tournament of top executives. Teams from Shklov, Orsha and Krugloye districts as well as representatives of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee took part in the event.

Last Sunday a body of a ten-year boy died from gun-shot wound was found at a farmland of a 67-year old woman living at Ordats village, Shklov district.

According to preliminary data, it was a manslaughter. The woman’s grandson is supposed to have been killed by his peer, a pupil of the fourth form of a local school. A check-up is being held by the public prosecutor's office.

A new dairy complex at CJSC “Bolshie Slaveni” of Shklov district will come into operation next month. There will be 900 cows of high genetic potential; they will likely produce more than 6420 kg of milk (last year’s highest milk yield) per each one. Modern equipment will be installed at the complex. Construction company from Krugloe has done its best, Nikolai Kachanov, the complex’s director, tells. By the way, 10 out of 18 complexes have already come into operation.

“Ecology. XXI Century” is the name of the project held by Shklov Central Library. The aim of the action is to gather information about ecological problems of the district and inform citizens on safe habitation. The readers of the library can not only read books and gain new knowledge but also relax watching seething water. The herbal tea room provides library visitors with herb tea.

JSC “Aleksandriyskoye” (Staroseliye village, Shklov district) launched a new poultry farm. The farm was constructed by PMK-266 from Krugloye. 12 poultry yards will farm 86 thousand chickens each. A twenty-hour-old chicken is kept in the yard for 42 days to grow to average 2.4 kilos.
