The public prosecutor's office of Mogilev region suggests giving a general driving power of attorney. The proposal to introduce certain law changes is sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus. It specifies a forced non-repayable confiscation of a vehicle irrespective of the fact either the vehicle belongs to the person who committed the crime being under alcohol intoxication or to any other person. The information is provided by Oleg Pimashkov, the acting prosecutor of Mogilev region.

A special city program is to solve the problem of parking places in Mogilev City. The governor of Mogilev region Petr Rudnik ordered local authorities to work out a document directing at improving the situation with parking.

November, 1 Mogilev region raises public transport fares. The information is provided by the Transport Department of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee. The decision was made by the regional authorities. The region raises fare for one bus or trolleybus trip to Br1,100. A monthly ticket for one transport is Br42,350 in Mogilev, Br 41,250 in Bobruisk and Br36,040 in district centres. A decade ticket will make Br14,850, Br14,480 and Br12,650 correspondingly.

JSC “Mogilevoblavtotrans” initiated a suggestion to raise public transport fare. The suggestion raises fare for one bus or trolleybus trip to Br1,100. A monthly ticket for one transport is supposed to be Br42,350 in Mogilev and Br 41,250 in Bobruisk. A monthly ticket for bus and trolley bus trips combined is to make Br56,570 and Br55,370 correspondingly.
Suburban bus fare might go up by 69% to make Br220 per a kilometer (for buses with hard seats) and Br228 (for buses with soft seats).
The final decision will be made by Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.

From October, 11 traffic is blocked off at a part of Mir avenue in Mogilev, - the site’s correspondent was told by the deputy chairman of city executive committee Alexander Veraxo.

Public transport fees in Mogilev region ups from September 7, - a correspondent of the site was told at Transport and communications department of Mogilev region executive committee. According to the committee’s decision, one will pay Br800 for a ticket for all kinds of public transport; a ticket for an express bus of carrying capacity above 5 tons will cost Br1200 maximum. One will pay Br1900 in Mogilev for a ticket for a fixed route taxi of carrying capacity under 5 tons in Mogilev, Br1650 in Bobruisk, Br1400 – in other towns and settlements. A month ticket for a bus or trolleybus will cost Br30 800 in Mogilev, for both kinds of transport - Br41 140. One will pay Br 30 000 for a month ticket in Bobruisk, and Br26 210 – in other regional towns.

In 2011 Mogilev City evacuated almost 1, 500 cars from the city’s streets and yards. The Ecological Inspection of the Regional State Auto Inspection teaches the citizens to observe parking rules.
Daily about two dozens of cars parked at the wrong places are evacuated. It takes about 10 min to evacuate a car. Rule-breakers are fined (one base amount). They also have to pay parking penalty service (Br5, 000).
This year the Ecological Inspection charged Br110 mln to send it to the local budget.

District consumers associations play important role in providing population with different services. That’s why Chaussy district consumers association pays much attention to developing its material and technical facilities. Within the next 5-7 years Chaussy district consumers association will completely renew its transport park. It will give more opportunities to satisfy demands of people from distant villages and settlements. 3 or 4 new vehicles, including a mobile shop and a bread van, will be bought in the nearest future.

2011 Mogilev State Auto Inspection is to install 4 new traffic lights. The information is provided by Sergey Zhigarev, a traffic management engineer of the Mogilev Regional Auto Inspection. According to Sergey Zhigarev, at the moment traffic lights are being installed at the crossroads of Romanova and Chelyuskintsev Streets. It is the area of the most intensive traffic. There is a plan to install traffic lights at the crossroads of Krupskoi and Belinskogo Streets. It is the area of the most frequent car accidents. Mogilev Regional Executive Committee allots money to install two more traffic lights: at the crossroads of Fatina and Movchanskogo Streets, Belynitskog-Biruli and Minsk Highway.

Since Monday tickets prices for long-distance journey by bus increased by 15% in Mogilev region. In general in the Republic the prices went up by 30%. “Mogilevoblavtotrans” informs.
Thus, one has to pay Br140 (instead of Br 122) for one kilometre of journey by coach within the region, and Br 160 – beyond the borders of Mogilev region. One kilometer by a high-speed bus costs Br180.6 (instead of 158) and Br206.4 respectively; that of additional busses - Br187/6 (164) и Br214.4, and by express busses - Br208.6 (instead of 182) и Br238.4 respectively.

Reconstruction of Minsk-Mogilev highway is to be finished in 2012, - “Mogilevavtodor” informs. A credit of Br 830 bln has already been granted.
Three out of 5 sections of the highway are to completed this year. Br 11 bln has been granted for construction of M4 section near Moshchanitsy village; but it’s not enough, and additional credit is supposed to be get by “Mogilevavtodor”. According to the plan, M4 should include additional junctions of highway and motorway, both regional and Republican, as well as parkings, lay-bys, - general director of the plant specified. Thus, after reconstruction, the highway will comply with all demands.

Mogilev started female taxi service “KATRIN”. The information is provided by Tatiana Polosukhina, the director of “KATRIN” Company.
The company employs women-drivers and services only women and children.
The services of the company include: servicing children without parents accompanying them, driving to do shopping, taking a mother and a baby from a maternity home, delivering presents and flowers, taking cars to the destination at any time if an owner of the car drank some alcohol, servicing pets.

School children of Belarus got free travels from their homes to schools
School children of Belarus got free travels by public transport from their homes to schools for the period from September, 1 till June, 30. The decision was made by the Council of Ministers – regulation №202 from February, 16 2011 “About some issues of schoolchildren’s travel fare”.
To use the right of free travel schoolchildren should have a document proving that “a citizen is a pupil of a certain educational establishment”. The document should also include information about the citizen’s place of residence.

Mogilev city executive committee approved new city traffic network, - the correspondent of the site was told by the head of transport and communications department of housing and communal services administration of city executive committee Stanislav Myslivets.
The new traffic network worked out takes into account requests of citizens. “46 out of 68 references dealt with either changing routes of public transport or its time-table. The majority of requests concerned traffic network of such city areas as Kriulin st., Fatin st., Sputnik, Malaya Borovka, 30 Let Pobedy”.
